The 4th Annual WVU Ghost Tour
will take place on October 27, 2014 at 7:00pm. It will begin with a spooky reception in the Vandalia Lounge on
the first floor (near the information desk) of the Mountainlair on the WVU Downtown Campus.
The West Virginia Spectral Heritage Project is proud to
be partnered with West Virginia University's Mountaineer Week to bring you the annual WVU Ghost Tour. This tour, held
every fall during Mountaineer Week, educates and entertains through the ghost stories surrounding the haunted buildings of
WVU's Downtown Campus.
This tour reveals the many alleged hauntings of the main campus, including
the secret of Stewart Hall's construction, as well as the ghostly professor, and the creature that haunts Woodburn Hall.
These and many other stories are told on a two-hour walking tour, guided by award-winning WV Storyteller Jason Burns.
One of the most popular events during the Mountaineer Week celebration,
the ghost tour is an event not to be missed! Come bundled up against the chill of the night air - and the spirits that
lurk in the shadows...
If you cannot make it to the annual WVU Ghost Tour, then it is possible
to set up your own. Simply contact WVSH at: mountainword@hotmail.com. Groups are welcome!
